Medieval Times has a gift shop, a Hall of Arms displaying medieval artifacts, and a Museum of Torture (and extra $2). The Queen herself is available for photos and performs the knighting ceremony for an additional fee. Show staff entertains with informal interactions and you can even get an up-close look at the show falcon. Vendors sell their wares, beverages are available for purchase (including beer and wine), and a large roaring fire beckons attendees to sit and enjoy the ambiance. Once inside the castle, there is a carnival atmosphere befitting an ancient tournament. The color of your crown determines which knight you’ll be cheering for during the tournament! The castle gates open up 60 minutes prior to show time.Īt check in, you will be “crowned” as part of Her Majesty’s kingdom. The outside of the castle makes for a great photo op! To actually get into Medieval Times, you must enter the mall and check in. As you park in the mall parking lot, the imposing castle gets you into the mood, and you know you’re in for a night you’ll never forget. The union has been in wage negotiations with management since December. A screenshot shared with CNN showed CEO Perico Montaner reported the union’s Facebook account for trademark infringement. Zapcic believes the company had reported the account to be banned for violating TikTok’s intellectual property policy. The union’s last post on TikTok was advocating for fair wages. Much of the union’s support came from social media, especially on TikTok. “It is a grotesque attempt to retaliate against workers for exercising their legally protected right to form a union and bargain collectively,” Medieval Times Performers United and the American Guild of Variety Artists said in a statement in October. In October, Medieval Times filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against the union for using the company name, which is still ongoing. The union has filed numerous unfair labor practice charges against the company both in California and New Jersey, including one on their TikTok account getting banned. The closest location to California is in Scottsdale, Arizona. Zapcic said the company is pulling performers from other departments and non-unionized locations. The strike is affecting performances at the location. ![]() “They love to tell us that we’re not Broadway and it’s absolutely correct,” Zapcic said. But since reopening after COVID, staffing levels were so short, workers were performing six days a week. Zapcic said people work at Medieval Times because they love it, not for the money.
